Help guide FLF’s mission. Below are the roles, eligibility, key dates, and how to apply and vote.

Eligibility 

  • Officer candidates must complete 2025 Founders Club by Nov 15th, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET).

  • Membership recognizes donors; seats are elected, not purchased.

Board of Directors Responsibilities

  • Chair of the Board

    • Set agendas & run meetings

    • Steward mission/strategy

    • Hold committees accountable

    • Time 6–8 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr as Chair (must be a Director; Director terms below)

  • Vice Chair of the Board

    • Back-up presiding officer

    • Drive cross-committee alignment

    • Lead board succession/onboarding

    • Time 4–6 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr (must be a Director)

  • Director (At-Large)

    • Prepare & vote

    • Serve on ≥1 committee

    • Support fundraising/introductions

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo (+ committee)

    • Term 2-yrs, staggered (renewable)

  • Current Undergrad Psi Epsilon Basileus (President) — Ex Officio (non-voting)

    • Student–alumni liaison

    • Share campus insights

    • Advise on programs

    • Time 1–3 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr

President

  • Lead execution & committees

  • Convert strategy to plans/KPIs

  • Serve as operational spokesperson

Vice President

  • Coordinate cross-workstreams

  • Own a priority (e.g., partnerships/ops)

  • Act for President as needed

  • Time 2–4 hrs/mo

  • Term 1-yr (renewable)

Treasurer

  • Budget/cash flow & monthly reports

  • Controls, 990/audit with CPA

  • Clear dashboards to Board

  • Time 2–4 hrs/mo

  • Term 1-yr (renewable)

 

Secretary

  • Minutes & records

  • Notices/quorum/e-consents

  • Elections and policy log upkeep

  • Time 2–4 hrs/mo • Term 1-yr (renewable)

 

Officers may also be Directors if elected separately.

    • Run ROS, permits/vendors, and volunteer staffing

    • Ensure accessibility/safety & post-event recaps

  • Finance & Fundraising

    • Partner with Treasurer on budget/cash flow & monthly reports

    • Build annual fundraising plan (individual, corporate, alumni)

    • Steward donors; manage sponsor tiers/benefits

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo (peaks during campaigns)

    • Term 1-yr

  • Membership & Engagement

    • Grow/retain members (incl. Founders Club)

    • Run ambassador/volunteer program & recognition 

    • Collect feedback via surveys/town halls

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr

  • Historical Preservation

    • Build archives (photos, videos, artifacts, oral histories)

    • Set naming/permissions & storage standards

    • Publish “history” features and event displays

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr

  • Community & Advocacy 

    • Plan nonpartisan service projects & partnerships

    • Draft mission-aligned education statements (501(c)(3)-compliant)

    • Measure impact & promote volunteer ops

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo (activations may add time)

    • Term 1-yr

  • Marketing & Communication

    • Own brand, website, newsletter & social plan

    • Keep pages/events current; maintain media kit • Track metrics & optimize CTAs/content

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo

    • Term 1-yr

  • Emergency Review

    • Manage emergency aid policy, criteria & intake

    • Convene fast review panels; decisions within SLA

    • Ensure documentation, confidentiality & reporting

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo (spikes during cases)

    • Term 1-yr

  • Committee Member (Volunteer)

    • Monthly huddle & micro-tasks

    • Help with outreach/logistics/reviews

    • Join ≥1 activation (event/campaign/panel)

    • Time 2–4 hrs/mo (+ activations)

    • Term 1-yr (assigned as needed)
